What We Do

Discover how your support allows us to transform the lives of the elderly across Tanzania.

Reaching the Unreached

Many of Tanzania's elderly live in remote rural areas with limited access to resources. Our field teams travel thousands of kilometers every year to reach these isolated individuals.

  • Distribution of food packages and "dignity kits"
  • Basic health screenings and referral services
  • Emotional support and companionship

Support for Elderly Inmates

Augustine Mrema served as the Minister of Home Affairs, and this program honors his belief in dignity for everyone. Elderly inmates are often the most vulnerable and forgotten in the prison system.

We visit prisons to provide essential hygiene supplies, special dietary supplements, and to let these individuals know they have not been discarded by society.

Improving Quality of Life

We partner with government and private care homes to supplement the care they provide. Often, these homes are under-resourced and struggle to meet more than basic needs.

The Mrema Foundation provides medical equipment, organizes social events, and funds facility improvements to create a more joyful environment for the residents.
