Learn MoreThe Mrema Foundation was founded by Doreen Mrema in honour of her late husband, the Honourable Augustine Mrema — former Minister of Home Affairs, pioneering politician, and beloved figure of Northern Tanzania.
Augustine Mrema spent his life fighting for ordinary Tanzanians. This foundation continues that spirit of service — focused on those who built our society and now need our care most: the elderly.
Our field teams travel across Tanzania — from the slopes of Kilimanjaro to the shores of Lake Victoria — to reach elderly people wherever they are.
